Ray The Whale helps families turn everyday English inputs into parent-reviewed vocabulary and daily practice. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it to provide the service.

What We Collect
- Account information such as email address, display name, sign-in provider, language preference, and subscription status.
- Learning content such as vocabulary items, examples, quiz attempts, review progress, photo capture messages, and parent-confirmed edits.
- Uploaded images used for photo capture and learning material preparation. Images are stored only to provide the intake and review experience.
- Device and diagnostic data such as app version, platform, error reports, and basic event logs used to keep the service reliable.
How We Use Data
- To create vocabulary lists, schedule reviews, provide quiz and error-review flows, and keep learning progress in sync across devices.
- To process uploaded images and generate learning materials requested by the parent or guardian.
- To provide Ray Plus subscription entitlement, photo capture allowance, purchase restoration, and support for billing-related issues.
- To detect failures, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve product quality.
Family And Child Privacy
- Ray The Whale is designed for parent-guided learning. A parent or guardian should create and manage the account.
- The product does not sell personal data and does not use child learning data for third-party advertising.
- Parents can request export or deletion of account and learning data from the app under Privacy & Data, or use the public account deletion page at https://www.raythewhale.com/account-deletion.
Service Providers
- We use infrastructure, storage, AI processing, payment, analytics, and app distribution providers only to operate Ray The Whale.
- Payment processing for iOS subscriptions is handled by Apple. Web subscriptions are handled by Stripe.
- Uploaded content may be processed by image recognition and AI services for the purpose of preparing learning material.
